THIS PROJECT WAS SIMPLY PUT, MY FIRST “HUGE GIG” AS A DESIGNER. IN 2024, AT AGE 20 I WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO BE COMMISSIONED BY ANTHONY BOWENS UNDER ALL ELITE WRESTLING TO DESIGN THE APPAREL HE’D WEAR AT THE ANNUAL “FULL GEAR” PAY-PER-VIEW MATCH AT PRUDENTIAL CENTER. THE EVENT WAS CAST ON LIVE TELEVISION, AND THE GEAR ENDED UP BEING DEVELOPED INTO WWE’S “2K24” VIDEO GAME, AS WELL AS BEING FEATURED ON AEW’S TRADING CARDS. SINCE DESIGNING, ANTHONY HAS BECOME A GREAT CLIENT AND FRIEND AND I LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH HIM IN THE FUTURE.

THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST CHALLENGING TASKS I HAVE EVER COMPLETED AS A DESIGNER. I HAD NEVER DESIGNED APPAREL OFFICIALLY, AND ABSOLUTELY FELT THE PRESSURE OF BOWENS’ LARGE AUDIENCE VIEWING THIS. BOWENS HAS A VERY SPECIFIC VISION FOR THE GEAR; HIS TRADEMARK PINK, A DESIGN REFERENCING THE JERSEY DEVILS, AND A DEVELOPMENT OF HIS PREVIOUS BRANDING. I TOOK ON THE CHALLENGE, AND THE TEAM AT ALL ELITE WRESTLING PUT MY DESIGNS TO FRUITION AND TURNED IT INTO REAL-LIFE GEAR. FONTS USED WERE THOSE POPULAR IN SPORTS BRANDING, COLORS USED WERE POPULAR IN ANTHONY’S, AND DESIGN PRINCIPLES USED CATERED TO ANTHONY’S OWEN SELF AS OPPOSED TO A MACBOOK SCREEN.
