AT VUE MAGAZINE, I WORKED AS A JUNIOR DESIGNER WHERE I CONTRIBUTED TO THE PUBLICATION’S EDITORIAL AND VISUAL IDENTITY THROUGH HANDS ON LAYOUT DESIGN AND PRODUCTION. I COLLABORATED ON PAGE LAYOUTS USING ADOBE INDESIGN, ASSISTING IN THE CREATION AND FORMATTING OF ADVERTISEMENTS FOR LUXURY CLIENTS SUCH AS MCLAREN, BENTLEY, WOODFORD RESERVE, AND ETHAN ALLEN. MY ROLE ALSO EXTENDED BEYOND THE PAGE, ATTENDING AND PHOTOGRAPHING HIGH PROFILE EVENTS TO SUPPORT EDITORIAL CONTENT, WHILE GAINING A STRONG UNDERSTANDING OF TYPOGRAPHY, COMPOSITION, AND THE STANDARDS OF A POLISHED, PRINT FOCUSED MAGAZINE ENVIRONMENT.

Visual Strategy:
AS A JUNIOR DESIGNER, I FOCUSED ON REALLY LISTENING TO WHAT DIFFERENT CLIENTS WANTED AND TRANSLATING THAT INTO SOMETHING THAT STILL FELT ELEVATED AND COHESIVE. A BIG PART OF IT WAS KEEPING A CONSISTENT LUXURY TONE ACROSS EVERYTHING, WHILE MAKING SURE THE WORK DIDN’T FEEL DATED. I TRIED TO PUSH THINGS IN A MORE MODERN DIRECTION THROUGH CLEANER LAYOUTS, TYPE CHOICES, AND OVERALL COMPOSITION, WITHOUT LOSING THAT POLISHED FEEL CLIENTS WERE EXPECTING. IT WAS A BALANCE BETWEEN GIVING THEM EXACTLY WHAT THEY ASKED FOR AND SHAPING IT INTO SOMETHING MORE REFINED AND CURRENT.
